Stretch Marks

Stretch Marks are caused when the body grows faster than the skin can keep up with, literally stretching the skin.

They are most commonly associated with pregnancy but can also be caused by weight or muscle gain. They are most common around the breasts, thighs and hips. Stretch marks are not a medical problem as there are no major health issues surrounding them but they can cause distress to many women due to their appearance.

When they first form they appear as small reddish purple lines. At this stage they usually look indented and already have a different texture to the surrounding skin. Over time the discoloration tends to fade leaving silvery coloured lines or just the appearance of a different raised skin texture.

Treatment: Depending on the severity of the problem, Dr Habib will offer one or a combination of the following treatments: PRP, Mesotherapy, Fractora.
